Shichongxi Sewage Treatment Plant is located in Wanqingsha, Nansha District, Guangzhou City, with a total land area of 16.9 hectares and a designed service area of about 28.98 square kilometers. In June 2019, the first phase of the Shichong West Sewage Treatment Plant started construction and will be successfully completed in October 2022. According to the plan, the first phase of the project will be built on a scale of 50,000 tons of sewage per day, and the long-term plan can reach a daily processing capacity of 150,000 tons. It is the first planned scale of 150,000 m³/d (150,000 tons per day) in Nansha District Sewage treatment plant.

According to reports, the construction of the first phase of the Shichongxi Sewage Treatment Plant in trial operation includes water distribution wells, coarse screens, fine screens, grit chambers, and biochemical reactions. pool, secondary sedimentation tank and water distribution and mud drainage well, advanced treatment filter tank, backwash pump room, contact disinfection tank and tail water pump room, water outlet instrument room, blower room and transformer and distribution room, reused water pool, sludge dewatering machine room , Biological deodorization, complex buildings, dormitories, machine repair rooms, warehouses and other single process structures and auxiliary buildings, among which the coarse grid and the sewage outlet project into the river are based on the long-term scale of 150,000 m³/d (150,000 tons per day) once built.

The relevant person in charge of China Railway Construction Nansha Investment Co., Ltd. said that the project can handle 50,000 tons of sewage per day. Currently, the main collection and treatment comes from Guangzhou Nansha Health Station and Wanqingsha Bonded Port for processing and manufacturing. Sewage from the industrial block, Wanqingsha Central Town, and Xin'an Industrial Park will be discharged into Hongqili Waterway after being treated up to standard. Considering the long-term needs of the sewage treatment capacity in the Wanqingsha area, the project party reserves a long-term development area. If necessary, the second and third phases of the project will be built in the area in the future. By then, the sewage treatment plant will be able to process 150,000 tons of sewage per day The scale is to undertake the task of sewage treatment in the southern area of Wanqingsha, Nansha, Guangzhou.

According to the particularity of sewage in Nansha Health Station, in accordance with the guidelines for drainage and epidemic prevention in Guangzhou, the sewage treatment plant after commissioning will conduct nucleic acid testing on the effluent every week, and strengthen personnel training and factory areas Daily disinfection to ensure that the effluent water quality meets the standard before discharge.

Because there are many enterprises in this block and the proportion of industrial wastewater is relatively large, Shichongxi Sewage Treatment Plant has added a hydrolytic acidification tank to the traditional sewage treatment process, which can effectively degrade Macromolecular organic matter in sewage, and remove oil slick in water. At the same time, the sewage plant adopts advanced biological deodorization filter technology to seal and collect the waste gas generated in the pretreatment system and biological system during the sewage treatment process, and optimize the Wanqingsha block with higher standards and better technology water management.
